Real Life wins RTS Award
Real Life has won a prestigious national Royal Television Society award. The programme, Pupil Panel, made for Teachers TV, won its category in the RTS Educational Awards in Spring 2007. The programme showed what happened when a teacher decided to allow his class honestly to critique his lessons and teaching style. The judges praised the programme's innovation and production values. Real Life MD Simon Schofield says:"Jason, our physics teacher, was courageous in taking part and some of the kids' comments visibly hit him hard. But most of the comments were incredibly constructive and he told us many weeks later that the whole experience had allowed him to re-draw his relationships with pupils - for the better."
